Elmlea Double Cream is a thick, pourable cream with a rich, smooth texture. It comes in a 500ml carton, ready to pour straight from the fridge or whip up for extra volume. Use it to finish off a beef stroganoff or creamy mushroom sauce, or spoon it over apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding. Whipped, it holds its shape well, making it a good choice for topping trifles, scones with jam, or piping onto desserts. Give the carton a good shake before opening, as the cream can separate slightly during storage. Keep it refrigerated and use within a few days of opening for the best texture. Once whipped, use straight away for the neatest results, as it can lose its structure if left to stand too long.
